Yoga Event on Rhodes 2021

We are pleased, once again to have the opportunity to ‘Share the Joy’ of Yoga with everyone in a wonderfully peaceful location, on this beautiful island.
Imagine Yoga in the shade of an old olive grove, or up on the roof top under a magnificent mountain backdrop, with nothing but the sounds of nature around you. Up in Salakos the air is pure, fresh and full of Prana (energy), just waiting to bring joy back into your hearts and lungs.

This is a well-being event to suit all ages, and it is set to be an interesting opportunity to experience an array of activities and Yoga classes bought to you by local and visiting teachers. It is a chance to connect with new people, and not only enjoy Yoga but the beauty of the mountain, the island, the sea, fresh Greek food, and even a little evening music too.
The beauty of our event, is that you are free to join us for as little, or as much as you like. You can choose classes, walks, outings, activities, and acccommodation that suits you. Visit us for a day or 2 of your holiday, or join us for it all, you will be welcome. We encourage you to be open to all the possibilities. Come and relax in the clear mountain air with all its wonderful views, and enjoy. .

YOGA & THERAPIES

There will be Yoga classes in the morning and evening at our main base In the Olive grove or on the roof top, and even an option on the beach some mornings too. These classes will be taught by myself and other experienced local and visiting teachers. Each day there will be a class that suits everyone, be it meditative, gentle, dynamic or family orientated. Classes are 1 1/2 hours, and there are mats and cushions available for those travelling to Rhodes. The exact program for this event will be available closer to the time, and you will find a profile of teachers by following the link below.

Holistic therapies available by local English speaking practitioners will include Deep tissue massages, Indian head massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Healing, Sound bathing and more. These will mainly take place in our central tent in the olive grove.

LOCATION – (15-20 mins from the airport)

In the fields surrounding the little mountain village of Salakos on the West coast of Rhodes, our host Petros’ Green Eco house is a charming, quirky, and wonderfully peaceful venue for our event. Sitting in the foothills of Profitas Ilias, the front opens towards hilly olive groves, and the back enjoys a dramatic mountain view. The surrounding nature definitely invites exploration, with lovely walking trails in each direction. As you rise up the valley, you will be met with views to the sea, more Greek islands and Turkey beyond.

A 5-10 minute drive takes you to the peaceful west coast beaches. 20-30 minutes to the East coast beaches.

A 15-20 minute walk takes you to the village where you will find a lovely sleepy little square with an array of cafes and tavernas to enjoy.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD

Whilst there are a few opportunities to stay at the Green Eco house itself, either within the house in a dormitory style capacity or camping, we have also put together some suitable accommodation options within a 5-10 minute driving radius.
Simple locally sourced vegetarian food will be available just by adding yourself to the daily breakfast, lunch & dinner lists as you like.

TRANSPORT

The choice is yours ,for total independence, renting a car from the airport is simple and cheap at this time of year .
Take a taxi from the airport or we may even be able to help out too. We encourage car sharing for trips and evening events between us all too with petrol money donations always welcome of course.

There is also a twice daily bus service into town, past beaches and the airport from Salakos.
